koi rug

behind the scenes of the making of the koi rug:

1.  we start by drawing our design on a big canvas

2.   our wool is laid in detail on top of the design

3.   more fluffy black wool is added last for base layer

4.   it's  all patted down with hot soapy water

5.   roll the wool up in the cotton canvas and keep rolling...for hours! 

6.  trim  edges and roll a few more times to finish

**similar to accidentally throwing a wool sweater into the wash :)
